Fictional Archaeology by Daniel Arsham

Today’s Ruins

postic

Daniel Arsham had an exhibition of his works titled “Fictional Archaeology” in the Hong Kong branch of Galerie Perrotin within the last months. The exhibition has presented eroded sculptures of contemporary human figures and body parts and casts of modern day items such as Nike Air Max 90s, baseballs, microphones and digital cameras, as if today’s items were found by future archaeologists. The exhibition now became a book with the same title for YoungArts in Miami. If you are going to this annual art event, be sure to get yourself a copy.
