Fendi has announced that it will open a new boutique hotel in Rome next month. The luxury brand’s refurbished Palazzo Fendi will reopen with its first boutique hotel, the Fendi Private Suites, a Zuma restaurant, Palazzo Privé and an apartment designed by Dimore Studio. The Private Suites will feature special Fendi Casa designs, the furniture arm from the brand, with chairman and chief executive officer Pietro Beccari saying it will be “a Roman stay à la Fendi.” In every suite guests will be offered iPads with maps, soundtracks and a diary with Fendi stamps and each one will cost between 700 (£490) and 1,600 euros (£1,122) a night.

Beccari says that the launch of the brand’s first Fendi hotel is not part of a wider global strategy for now.  The Palazzo Fendi will be a five-storey building home to the largest store in the world, which covers almost 10,000 sq ft and this is scheduled to open on December 5.
