Hotel Monteverdi in Tuscany
Located in the heart of the 900-year-old village called Castiglioncello del Trinoro, Hotel Monteverdi encompasses four buildings and offers twelve boutique hotel rooms, consisting of 6 luxury rooms and 6 larger suites. Each hotel room is completely unique and aesthetically remarkable. The rooms are a masterful blend of the ancient and modern. Working with local craftsman, Ilaria Miani, a Rome-based designer with a passion for restoring, renovating and breathing life to ancient properties, infused each room of Monteverdi with sophistication and style.
Castiglioncello del Trinoro is about as close to picture-perfect as any medieval hamlet you’ll find in Tuscany. The valley has had a remarkable history, rooted in the pioneering landscaping projects and sustainable rural development of the 14th and 15h centuries. This 12 room stylish boutique hotel and spa is situated on a hill overlooking a vineyard and rolling hills. Though there are four buildings on the property, in total they only house six rooms and six suites, some with unique features like wood-beamed ceilings, an 18th-century copper tub, private gardens, and views of the Val d’Orcia hilltop towns.
The villas are ideal for upper class families, who want to spend a week’s holiday in Tuscany, but also want all the comforts of home. The hotel is stylish and chic. In the summer months there are mainly artists-in-residence, who exhibit their works of art. There are also many music festivals, especially jazz and classical. At the end of April, the conductor, Sir John Eliot Gardiner will be giving concerts along with ten up-and-coming opera singers.
